Transfurans Chemicals is a pioneer in Furfural chemicals. Since 1972 we have been producing Furfuryl Alcohol and derivative products at our facility in Belgium.
 
Together with our sister company International Furan Chemicals, handling the commercial activities, we are the market leader in Europe and North-America.

Our products

Polyfurfuryl Alcohol (PFA) resins have diverse applications across multiple industries, including foundry binders in sand casting, corrosion-resistant coatings and linings, high-temperature refractory materials, fiber-reinforced composites for construction and transportation, high pressure laminates and wood modification.

Furfural is the base chemical of all our chemistry. Manufactured directly from agricultural waste it gives us the ability to manufacture bio-based products with low carbon footprint.

Furfuryl Alcohol is the most widely produced derivative of Furfural, extensively used in heavy industries such as foundry, refractory, and anti-corrosion applications. It also serves as a crucial intermediate and building block for cosmetic ingredients, bio-solvents, and polyols.

2-Methyltetrahydrofuran (MeTHF) is a promising bio-solvent with applications in the synthesis for Active Pharmaceutical ingredients (API's), extractions and many more.

Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol (THFA) is a popular solvent for electronics applications, agrochemical solutions and has multiple uses as an intermediate.

2-Methylfuran (MeF) is an intermediate used for further derivatives and pharmaceutical applications.

Butyl Levulinate is a promising solvent with low toxicity which can be applied to a wide variety of industries.
